Since working with Underscore, Pocketbook is now recognised as the world’s third-largest manufacturer of e-readers, holding their position alongside Amazon and Kobo. With a current e-reader revenue of approximately US$220 million, their ecosystem provides access to over 4.5 million e-books and 90,000 audiobooks through their dedicated bookstore.
PocketBook is a multinational company which produces e-book readers based on E Ink technology (an electronic paper technology) under the PocketBook brand. They tasked Underscore with a review of their well established brand identity, to make it more relevant for the millennial market and to help them become market leaders.
Our colour coded packaging gave the brand an injection of energy and allowed us to connect their advertising better for their four product verticals, each now having its own story to explain the product family USPs.
This approach gave Pocketbook more versatility to shout about a whole host of brand benefits and product capabilities and the brand has grown to become the world’s third largest manufacturer of electronic readers, with 400,000 active subscribers to their content services.
Colour coded packaging helped us to connect their new product range with different customers.
Pocketbook products are now sold in 35 countries worldwide.
Each product has own story to explain the USPs.
Pocketbook has since grown to become the world’s third largest manufacturer of electronic readers.
“As an established international brand, we wanted to work with an agency in London with experience of reaching international audiences.”
